A Year of Conversation will be hosting our first Twitter Chat on Wednesday 13th February 9-10pm. We'd love you to join us. Simply log into Twitter at 9pm and look for our profile @AYOC19 and #AYOC19CHAT
The first question will go out at bang on 9pm, with subsequent ones at regular intervals. We're possibly overdoing it for this first hour, with a total of seven questions (including a bonus Valentine's Day themed one), but there's no such thing as too much conversation?!
This first Chat is in partnership with the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) and their "The Art of Conversation" event, taking place at the stunning RSE building in Edinburgh city centre on Saturday 16th February. For more information and to book your free place visit https://www.rse.org.uk/event/the-art-of-conversation/
Each of the questions is inspired by one of the sessions at this day-long event.
Q1. Digital or face to face – isn’t it all conversation?
(Conversations in a Digital World 10-11.30)
Q2. ‘Good conversation’ - was there ever a golden age?
(The Art of Good Conversation 12.30-14.00)
Q3. Isn’t all art (at heart) about conversation?
(Creative Conversation 15.00-16.30)
Q4. Has there not always been something that ‘shaped children’s minds’ and digital is no different?
(Children and Conversation 11.45-12.30)
Q5. I can’t hold a conversation when…
(Speaking without Words 14.15-15.00)
Q6. It’s good to talk, but is it not better to have a conversation?
(Should I talk about it? 16.45-17.30)
Q7. What subjects of conversation would you recommend/recommend to avoid on St Valentine’s Day?
To join the conversation simply reply to each question, starting your tweet with A1, A2 etc as appropriate and using the #AYOC19CHAT.
We look forward to chatting on Wednesday, and hope to see you at the RSE event (it's completely free!)
